Tasting Notes

Nose: A profound and inviting bouquet immediately greets the senses, bursting with rich caramel and toasted brown sugar, underscored by dark dried cherries and plums. Notes of warm baking spices like cinnamon and nutmeg are prominent, intertwined with a distinct leathery earthiness and a subtle hint of seasoned oak char. A faint whisper of crème brûlée and old-fashioned rock candy adds complexity.

Palate: The entry is robust and full-bodied, coating the palate with an intense wave of sweet vanilla bean and sticky toffee pudding. This quickly transitions to a powerful spice kick of black pepper and clove, balanced by ripe red fruit compote and a chewy, almost oily, mouthfeel. Lingering notes of dark chocolate, roasted nuts, and a delightful, sweet oak presence emerge, showcasing its un-diluted character.

Finish: Long, warm, and deeply satisfying, the finish is a glorious extension of the palate. Sweet oak and caramel persist, slowly fading to a dry, spicy warmth with lingering notes of tobacco, espresso, and a complex interplay of dried fruit and leather. The high proof is present but well-integrated, providing a pleasant, enduring tingle rather than harshness.

About the Distillery

Booker's Bourbon, a small batch, high-proof bourbon from the Jim Beam distillery, was created by the late great Booker Noe, sixth-generation master distiller. Launched in 1988, it was named after Noe himself, and was revolutionary for its time as one of the first uncut, unfiltered bourbons to be released straight from the barrel. It represents the pinnacle of Jim Beam's craftsmanship, bottled as Booker believed whiskey should be enjoyed – unadulterated.
