Aged for eleven patient years and bottled uncut at a commanding 128.86 proof, this Old Style Brook Hill single barrel represents the apex of modern Kentucky barrel selection. Rare Character delivers an unapologetic powerhouse saturated with notes of brooding oak, dark cocoa, and rich stone fruit. It is an essential pour for high-proof purists seeking unadulterated depth and collector-grade authenticity.
Tasting Notes
Nose: Rich aromas of dark molasses, polished leather, and pipe tobacco open up to reveal stewed black cherries, toasted pecans, and dense, aromatic charred oak.
Palate: Massively full-bodied and oily, coating the palate with deep layers of baker's dark chocolate, demerara sugar, warming cinnamon stick, and caramelized figs balanced against antique oak tannins.
Finish: Exceptionally long and resonant, carrying waves of sweet cured tobacco, clove, espresso bean, and a lingering warmth anchored by sweet vanilla and toasted wood.
About the Distillery
Rare Character Whiskey Company was founded in 2021 by spirits industry veteran Pablo Moix and entrepreneur Peter Nevenglosky, created to curate and bottle exceptional, one-of-a-kind single barrels. The Brook Hill marque resurrects an iconic pre-Prohibition label originally registered in the late 19th century, serving as the crown jewel of Rare Character's portfolio reserved exclusively for rare, ultra-aged, and uncut Kentucky straight whiskeys.
