A quarter-century of patient maturation culminates in this majestic presentation, housed in a bespoke cut-crystal decanter with executive regalia. Master blenders hand-selected ancient Speyside and Highland casks to weave a decadent tapestry of dark cacao, stewed fruit, and polished antique oak. It remains an elusive collector's trophy that exemplifies the zenith of classic luxury blending.
Tasting Notes
Nose: Aromas of antique polished mahogany, dried apricots, rich clover honey, toasted hazelnuts, and a gentle waft of aged tobacco leaf.
Palate: Luxuriously rounded and velvety, delivering layers of orange marmalade, stewed sultanas, dark cocoa, and warming nutmeg over a dense malt backbone.
Finish: Long, refined, and resonant with lingering notes of dark chocolate, dried figs, soft leather, and sweet, seasoned oak tannins.
About the Distillery
Founded in 1801 as an Aberdeen luxury grocer, Chivas Brothers pioneered the art of prestige whisky blending during the 19th century, drawing primarily from Strathisla—the oldest continuously operating distillery in the Scottish Highlands—to establish their signature house style of rich, fruity, and smooth single malt harmony.
