Tasting Notes

Nose: A sophisticated and inviting bouquet opens with classic bourbon sweetness – rich caramel and brown sugar mingling with notes of vanilla bean and toasted oak. Beneath, a delicate fruitiness emerges, hinting at dried apricot and orange peel, underpinned by a faint whisper of nutmeg and rye spice.

Palate: The palate is remarkably smooth and well-integrated for its age. Initial waves of sweet molasses and butterscotch coat the tongue, quickly followed by a nuanced interplay of candied nuts (almond, pecan) and dark chocolate. The oak influence is present but elegant, contributing structure without bitterness, accompanied by a gentle warmth of baking spices – cinnamon, clove, and a touch of black pepper.

Finish: A medium-long and satisfying finish that lingers beautifully. Sweet oak and vanilla persist, slowly giving way to a pleasant dryness with a hint of leathery tobacco and a final, subtle echo of dark fruit. The warmth is persistent but never overwhelming, leaving a clean and memorable impression.
