Tasting Notes

Nose: A rich and inviting bouquet of caramel, vanilla bean, and toasted oak immediately greets the nose. Hints of dried dark fruit, like fig and plum, mingle with a subtle spice note of cinnamon and nutmeg, rounded out by a faint leathery undertone.

Palate: The palate is robust and full-bodied, delivering a powerful yet balanced explosion of flavor. Sweet caramel and butterscotch dominate upfront, quickly transitioning to notes of baking spices – cinnamon, allspice, and a touch of clove. A deep oak character emerges, interwoven with dark chocolate, dried cherry, and a surprising whisper of tobacco leaf. The high proof (54.4 ABV) is present but well-integrated, providing a delightful warmth without harshness.

Finish: The finish is long, warm, and lingering, a testament to its proof and likely well-aged components. Sweet oak and vanilla persist, slowly fading to a pleasant dry spice and a final comforting echo of dark fruit and charred wood. A slight peppery kick rounds out the experience, inviting another sip.
