Perfect for crafting daring cocktails or sipping neatly to uncover its hidden depths.

Tasting Notes

Nose: Dominant aromas of rich molasses and dark chocolate instantly greet the nose, intertwining with bold notes of coffee, cinnamon, and a hint of vanilla bean. Underlying spice evokes cloves and star anise, with a faint suggestion of caramel. While labeled a rum, the intensity of these dark spices can almost mimic certain oak-aged spirits.

Palate: The palate presents a robust and full-bodied experience. A tidal wave of dark, caramelized sugar and treacle washes over the tongue, quickly followed by a medley of baking spices – nutmeg, clove, and a pronounced fiery cinnamon. There's a noticeable bitter chocolate and espresso quality, balanced by a syrupy sweetness. The 94 proof provides a pleasant warmth without being overly aggressive, and hints of a subtle, almost bourbon-like vanilla emerge amidst the spice.

Finish: The finish is long, warm, and spicy, leaving a lingering impression of black pepper, anise, and dark cocoa. The sweetness gradually fades, making way for a dry, woody spice that persists, reminiscent of deeply charred barrel staves. A faint hint of licorice and a pleasant heat round out the experience.
