Its extensive maturation imbues a deep complexity of rich oak, mature fruits, and a harmonious medley of spices. This aged expression offers a rare opportunity to taste history, a testament to time and expert craftsmanship.

Tasting Notes

Nose: A sophisticated and inviting bouquet opens with rich dried dark fruits like fig and apricot, intertwined with sweet tobacco leaf, worn leather, and polished oak. Subtle hints of baking spices – cinnamon, nutmeg, and a whisper of clove – emerge, alongside a delicate underlying caramel and vanilla bean sweetness, indicative of extensive barrel aging.

Palate: The entry is remarkably smooth and velvety, coating the palate with a luxurious warmth. Initial waves of caramelized sugar, maple syrup, and dark chocolate give way to a complex blend of charred oak, toasted nuts (pecan, walnut), and a gentle peppery spice. The fruit notes from the nose reappear, now richer and stewed, complemented by a persistent vanilla and butterscotch sweetness that balances the oak's influence. It's incredibly well-integrated and remarkably devoid of harshness.

Finish: Long, lingering, and exceptionally elegant. The warmth persists, leaving behind echoes of sweet oak, dried fruit, and a pleasant, subtle spice. A final, refined sweetness of burnt sugar and dark cocoa slowly fades, inviting another sip without overwhelming the palate.
