A rare barrel-strength bourbon, bottled unfiltered and uncut, Booker's Bourbon has been named 'World Whiskey of the Year' by Jim Murray's Whiskey Bible 2017. Releasing only a few batches every year, varying in age and proof, this batch was released to celebrate 25 years since the first private bottles were given out. Even more notably, after Booker Noe's passing in 2004, his son Fred Noe wanted to make a special batch, consisting of some of the last barrels to be overseen by his father. These are those barrels. The last product of Booker Noe.
Tasting Notes:
A strong blast of the sugars from the wood hits you the moment you take a sip. Caramel and vanilla pop right out of this bourbon, along with a light woody taste. In addition to the sugar and wood, a trace of citrus along the line of orange rinds. The palate quickly morphs into a nice long finish.
