Underlying notes of spicy cinnamon, nutmeg, and a hint of charred oak intermingle with sweet orange zest and a faint touch of leather, hinting at its maturity despite being NAS. The high proof is present but well-integrated, suggesting a robust aromatic experience.

Palate: The entry is powerful yet remarkably smooth, coating the palate with a luxurious wave of dark caramel, molasses, and a pronounced, almost creamy, banana foster flavor. This quickly evolves into a complex symphony of baking spices – cinnamon, allspice, and a touch of black pepper – balanced by sweet vanilla bean, toasted pecan, and dried dark fruit like fig or raisin. The barrel char provides a pleasant grip, preventing it from becoming overly sweet, while the proof delivers a substantial but controlled warmth.

Finish: The finish is exceptionally long and satisfying, echoing the palate's sweetness with lingering notes of dark chocolate, robust espresso, and a persistent, delightful oak spice. A gentle warmth radiates throughout, accompanied by a touch of tobacco leaf and a final, lingering suggestion of dried fruit and vanilla. The high proof asserts itself warmly but without harshness, leaving a memorable, complex aftertaste.

https://takeyourpickliquors.com/products/2023-old-forester-trump-national-golf-club-single-barrel-124-3-proof-750ml
