There are fainter whispers of dried fruit – perhaps a light apricot or raisin – and a touch of floral sweetness, suggesting a balanced, approachable character.

Palate: The palate is remarkably smooth and light-bodied, consistent with its proof. Sweetness leads the way with brown sugar, vanilla custard, and a delicate corn sweetness. Mid-palate, a soft warmth emerges, accompanied by notes of light baking spice – cinnamon and a trace of nutmeg – and a faint, pleasant woody char. It's clean and uncomplicated, making it highly quaffable.

Finish: The finish is short and clean, leaving a pleasant, lingering sweetness of vanilla and a hint of white pepper spice. There's no harshness or burn, just a gentle fade that invites another sip. The oak influence is minimal but present, providing a final touch of structure.

https://takeyourpickliquors.com/products/1990-the-kentucky-colonel-distillery-co-kentucky-colonel-kentucky-straight-bourbon-whiskey-80-proof-750ml
