A subtle undercurrent of toasted oak and a faint, sweet nuttiness, perhaps roasted peanuts, rounds out the aroma.

Palate: A surprisingly full and assertive entry for its proof, delivering a vibrant burst of sweet caramel and brown sugar. The rye spice characteristic of Old Grand-Dad makes its presence known with a peppery kick, balanced by notes of dried apricot and a hint of cherry. Underlying oak tannins provide structure without overwhelming the sweeter elements.

Finish: Medium in length, the finish is clean and warming, characterized by lingering notes of black pepper, a touch of dark chocolate, and a pleasant dry oak sensation.
