Subtle undertones of toasted oak and a whisper of baking spice, possibly nutmeg or cinnamon, emerge as it opens up. A faint, youthful fruitiness, like green apple or pear, adds a touch of brightness.

Palate: The palate is approachable and smooth, showcasing a core of sweet grain and vanilla. It presents a moderate body, delivering flavors of butterscotch, a touch of brown sugar, and soft oak char. A mild peppery spice gently warms the mid-palate, balanced by a creamy texture and an underlying sweetness that prevents it from becoming too dry.

Finish: A clean and relatively short to medium finish. The sweetness of vanilla and caramel lingers, slowly fading into a light, dry oak presence. A final touch of white pepper and a whisper of corn provide a pleasant, if not overly complex, conclusion.

https://takeyourpickliquors.com/products/1974-a-smith-bowman-distillery-virginia-gentleman-90-proof-757ml
