Henry McKenna Sour Mash Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey 80 Proof 750ml

A rare historical artifact from the Seagram era, this vintage Henry McKenna was distilled and aged directly at the Four Roses Distillery in Lawrenceburg prior to the brand's acquisition by Heaven Hill. Bottled at an approachable 80 proof, it brings forward classic old-school Kentucky sour mash notes of clover honey, sweet orchard fruit, and gentle toasted oak. It offers collectors and enthusiasts an authentic taste of vintage distilling history that bridges two iconic American whiskey legacies.

Tasting Notes

Nose: Inviting aromas of honeyed corn, soft caramel, and vanilla wafer, accented by subtle dried apricot, crushed mint, and the delicate floral undertones characteristic of vintage Lawrenceburg distillate.

Palate: Light to medium-bodied and remarkably gentle, opening with sweet butterscotch, toasted grain, and poached orchard pears followed by mild cinnamon spice and gentle charred oak.

Finish: Clean, smooth, and mellow, leaving lingering notes of clover honey, faint vanilla bean, and a whisper of dry oak spice.

https://takeyourpickliquors.com/products/0-four-roses-distilling-co-henry-mckenna-sour-mash-kentucky-straight-bourbon-whiskey-80-proof-750ml
